1. Data stored on your device
• Water intake logs (amount, drink type, timestamp). • Reminder configuration (times, intervals, mode, custom messages). • App preferences (theme, accent, language, units, cups, goals, and profile details you enter for goal recommendations). • Badges, challenges and streak history. This data is kept locally. There is no account and no cloud sync.2. Analytics (optional, on by default)
The app sends usage events to Google Firebase Analytics: that a drink was logged, that a goal was changed, reminder changes, theme and language changes, badges, challenges, streak milestones, premium unlocks, ads watched, and backup import/export. How much you drink, what you drank, and your goal are never sent. Those stay on your device. Turn this off with Analytics in Settings. No events are sent while it is off.3. Crash reporting
Crash reports go to Google Firebase Crashlytics and include the error, a stack trace, and device and OS details. They do not include your logs.4. Advertising
Aquion shows ads via Google AdMob, which may access your device advertising identifier, IP address and ad interactions to serve and measure ads. Active premium removes ads.5. Weather (off by default)
If you enable the weather goal adjustment, the app sends a request to ipapi.co, which derives your approximate location from your IP address, and then sends those coordinates to api.open-meteo.com to read the local temperature. No request is made and no location is derived while the setting is off. The app never uses GPS and never asks for a location permission.6. Purchases
Subscriptions and one-off purchases are handled by Google Play. Aquion receives the purchase state; it never sees your payment details.7. Health Connect (off by default)
If you connect Health Connect, hydration records are read from and written to it on your device. This exchange is local to the device; Aquion does not transmit it anywhere.8. Sharing and selling
Aquion does not sell personal data. Data leaves the device only to the services named above, for the purposes described.9. Permissions
• Notifications: to show your drink reminders. • Alarms and reminders (exact alarms): to fire reminders at the time you set. Without it, reminders still work but may arrive late. • Start on boot: to restore your reminder schedule after a restart. • Ignore battery optimisations: optional, and only to stop the system delaying reminders on some devices. • Internet: for ads, analytics, crash reports, and the optional weather lookup. Your hydration logs are not uploaded. • Health Connect (read and write hydration): only if you connect it. Aquion never requests a location permission and never uses GPS.10. Your controls
• Analytics: turn off in Settings. • Ads: remove with premium. • Weather: turn off the weather goal adjustment in Settings. • Health Connect: disconnect in Settings or revoke in Health Connect. • Your data: export or reset tracking data from Settings.11. Contact
